Macro focus photography gives us the ability to see the beautiful structure of the trichomes. Trichomes are tiny, glandular appendages on the surface of cannabis flowers that produce most of the plant's cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids. Trichomes can be found all over the plant, but they appear primarily on the flower and leaves of the plant. Towards the end of the flowering cycle we observe the transparency of the trichomes, as they become less transparent and more gold in color it lets us know it’s ready for harvest.
